Got out between rain showers yesterday with SJ to rock climbing at the Amphitheatre in Avon Gorge. I hadn’t climbed on this wall for a while and wanted to have a look at couple of the easier routes on the wall that i hadn’t climbed since 2005. We started by climbing ‘Rockers Revenge‘ a one star VS 4b, 4c. The route is good, it has gear and interesting moves esp on the top pitch, i cleaned a few few bits of greenery on the way up to help the next teams. There is also an abseil station on the left as you walk down the ramp making a 34 meter abseil off. We then did ‘Fossible’ a HS 4a, 4c which i thought was only an OK climb.  There aren’t many routes of this grade at Avon Gorge so it’s good to have it there but better then that is ‘Nightmare Supper Duppa Direct’ the variation on Nightmare on Sea Walls that i did a few months back.

Going to head back to the Amphitheatre in Avon Gorge in the next few weeks and have a go at a few of the harder routes that now have new pegs and bolts in them – how exciting.
