We run all types of adventure events for businesses and charities, which can be used for a fun team building experience or as a way of raising money. A charity abseil is a great first adventure event, and can be run over a single day or two days. Another similar option we run is a zip wire event.
We can run charity abseils and abseil events of all shapes and sizes. Because everything from equipment and risk assessments, to marquees, catering and photographers is provided, all you need to do is relax and enjoy the day.
Organising an abseil event is a great way to raise some money and awareness for the company or charity you are representing. On average, a charity abseil event will raise between £4,000 and £60,000 per day.
With over 15 years’ experience in the industry, we’ll make sure your charity abseil and abseil event runs smoothly. Our instructors are qualified to the highest standards through the AMI (Association of Mountaineering Instructors), and all of our events come with photography free of charge.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY ABOUT OUR CHARITY ABSEILS
Dave Talbot’s brilliant team ran our abseil down Canonteign falls for Home Start Exeter & East Devon. Leading up to the event Dave provided timely information and made the process very smooth, always willing to answer our questions. On the day Robyn & team could not have done more. In all nothing was too much trouble and this team were a delight to work with.
I am a challenges fundraiser for a local charity and we used Dave Talbot Adventures to organise a weekend of abseils. Dave Talbot and his team exceeded any expectations. On the build up to the event Dave was always contactable and happy to answer any questions. At the event him and his team knew exactly what they were doing and made the event flawless. we had 80 abseilers over the weekend and the team ensure not only each and everyone did it but also that they felt safe and enjoyed their experience. We have had so much positive feedback about Dave and his Team. Couldn’t recommend them higher. we will be using them again.
Definitely 5 stars ++ for an amazing two days of abseiling from the top of Bath Abbey tower. Dave, Robyn and Dean were fantastic to work with and they made the experience very special for all the abseilers who took the challenge. I would whole heartedly recommend Dave Talbot – Adventure Events for such events. Thank you.
A massive thank you to Dave and Dave for their hard work, enthusiasm and reassurance on Saturday at our charity abseil for Dreams Come True. The day was a huge success and the weather was really on our side. We had some extremely nervous volunteers, however both Dave and Dave did really well in making everyone feel comfortable and answered any questions that we had. I would definitely use Dave Talbot again for future sponsored events and would recommend his company to anyone interested in organising an event! Thank you so much from all of us at Dreams Come True!
Dave and his team hosted a charity abseil for us in London a couple of weeks ago and we couldn’t have picked a better person to help us. From the outset he was proactive, friendly and incredibly helpful, not only finding us a venue but roping in (no pun intended) some extra participants on the day too. Having sworn I would never abseil, I found myself feeling so relaxed and safe with the guys that not only did I complete the 130ft challenge, I did it three times… thank heaven for the photos they took to prove it! If you’re looking for someone to help you with an adventure look no further. From start to finish the process was fun, easy and cost-effective – I have no hesitation in recommending them and look forward to finding some more activities we can get involved in.
The Ipswich Hospital Charity organised a Charity Abseil, Dave and his team were the company who hosted it. They were professional in the lead up, ensuring our estates team here at the hospital were happy. They gave the charity team the information I needed for participants and tips on how to organise the days. On the weekend they were fully committed to the safety of our staff, volunteers and most importantly the participants. The sense of comradery and banter between the participants and Dave’s team was felt by all. With particularly nervous people they took the time to ease their fears and everyone made it down the building finishing with a smile and a sense of achievement. I want to say a BIG thank you to Dave and his team for making this event, not only a success, but so fun too! Would definitely recommend them to others thinking of hosting a charity event.
We used Dave Talbot and his team for our charity abseil at Canonteign Falls for the Brain Tumour Research Charity. On arriving on site all the setting up work had been done by the team ready for the participants.
The instructions for the abseilers and equipment were first class. The team on the falls themselves were very professional and supportive of some very nervous people. Around it was a wonderful event helped by a superb team. Thank you so much Dave. We will be using your services again. Peter Jordan – South West Regional Fundraising Manager Brain Tumour Research.
It would be an understatement to say the Abberley Hall Clock Tower Abseil event exceeded my expectations. Two things really impressed me:
1 several of the other participants were registered blind (so my remaining fear went immediately), and
2 Dave Talbot and his team were exceptional in putting everyone at ease. He explained to everyone exactly how to proceed down the rope in a precise and clear manner and had a rapport that instilled confidence and humor. This was no mean feat when many of the participants – had little or no sight, and were taking part for the first time.
Dave and his team hosted Noah’s Ark Charity Dangle event Sunday 16th October 2016 from Newport Transporter Bridge and we couldn’t have picked a better team of instructors to help us..
Just wanted to say a very big thanks to yourself, Dave and Marcus for a brilliant day yesterday! Great success! As a district of 12 stores allowing us to do the Abseil at Peel Tower we will of raised around £4,500 for comic relief!
PEACE OF MIND

INFORMATION ON A CHARITY ABSEIL EVENT
If you are a charity and thinking of running a charity abseils event, here is some top information to help you get your event off the ground.

In the world of climbing, abseiling is a way of getting back down what you’ve just climbed up. You use a rope to lower yourself down, and can control how fast or slow you descend, whilst being on an additional safety rope controlled by an instructor.
Given the heights involved, it’s a great personal challenge for many people, but one you can undertake in complete safety. Most people don’t realise that even if you let go of the rope you won’t fall. This is due to the two rope system that we use to keep you and your team safe.
