The route is a point to point 55 km ultra marathon crossing of the central section of the Brecon Beacons National Park. It takes in all of the main summits and stunning ridge line. This isn’t a circular route and all transport / logistics are included.
Route heads from West to East across Brecon Beacons, taking in the superb ridge line and 20 main summits. This is an epic journey. We’ll have well stock aid stations and support crews. At the finish line they’ll be hot food, showers, medals and glory.

BB ULTRA – RACE SAFETY
We will ensure you are looked after with the safety of all the runners being of utmost importance. You will have a GPS tracker and there will be well stocked checkpoints including hot drinks and hot food when you need them most. We do however encourage the use of support teams to meet you at locations on the route. We will provide a “support crew” document with useful information on recommended meet-points.
Safety is our primary concern with all participants. Every competitor is given a GPS tracker so we can see where you are at all times during the race and your family, friends and support can watch your progress online. The GPS tracker is also equipped with an SOS button, so if you do have a problem we can find you.
If you want or need to withdraw from the event after starting, we will transport you to your nearest checkpoint where you can arrange your own transport home from there. If you need to end your participation before the finish of the route, you must contact us on the event mobile or speak to a marshal.
There will be a medical team on hand at the event as well as physio support as needed.
