The first time that I went outdoor climbing, it was at Wintours Leap with Dave coaching and guiding me. What started off with a huge fear, finished with a massive sense of achievement and great thanks for the way that Dave helped, encouraged and enabled me to overcome my worries. What a brilliant approach. Not only that, a complete role reversal where Dave had my life in his hands. More recently our 2 days in North Wales undertaking some serious scrambles around and near to Snowdon, made me understand what a great way that he has with people and his honed skills in the outdoor world. I am so very proud of his achievements and successes.

Had a great day out with Karl, one of Dave's team. We did a full day of sport leading as part of a refresher for me and my wife. Karl was kind, attentive and adapted the day to suit our ability and need. He also offered some great resources for continued learning. I'd recommend for anyone looking to jump from indoor lead to sport outdoor (and well beyond). We'll be back for something wintry at some point I'm sure!

Dave and his team helped a large group of us with the Brecon Beacon 10 Peaks Challenge. The guys were fantastic from start to finish, and despite really tough conditions, they always made us feel were were in safe hands, whilst making it a fun and an unforgettable experience all round! Can’t recommend highly enough. 6 stars?

A large group of us completed the Brecon Beacons 10 peak challenge which was so much fun and incredibly well organised by the team. The guides were amazing and so helpful. A support bus was on hand if needed which was very reassuring. Totally recommend Adventure Events. Thank you for an epic adventure ?

Dave and his expert team took 26 inexperienced hikers on the epic Brecon Beacons 10 peak challenge. They artfully managed the whole expedition. It was fun, challenging and professional but with a lovely personal touch (plus delicious home baked cakes at lunchtime!). Felt safe and supported on the whole adventure. Highly recommended.

I have had a wonderful time on several Dave Talbot events including the 10 peak challenge and Malvern Hills half marathon. Very well organised and good value for money. You can tell Dave puts a lot of effort into these events and I will not hesitate to book a new challenge with him when my spirt for adventure flares up again!

Dave arranged a full day of climbing at very short notice, with instructor Chris. As a beginner Chris gave me the confidence and reassurance to push my limits, by the end of the day I was climbing slabs that looked impossible just hours earlier. Couldn’t recommend more highly, especially if you’re new to the sport.

Today my husband and I did a sponsored charity event in Chipping Sodbury whilst on our travels from Australia.
We both abseiled 100 ft down St John the Baptist church tower.
This fabulous event ran so smoothly, with excellent safety training prior the actual abseil.
I myself was extremely nervous of heights but the thorough training and encouragement from both Dave & Mark gave me the confidence in achieving a goal during my “year of yes”.Many thanks to Dave Talbot and the community of Chipping Sodbury that not only welcomed us but also supported us. I took part in a sponsored abseil at Exeter Cathedral on 4th May this year. There were loads of us, including a few in their 80s. Dave's team were fantastic -charming, friendly, and absolutely nobody died. Good guys. Thank you!

Exeter Cathedral Abseil. UTTERLY AMAZING.This charity Abseil started as a mad idea 4 years ago to celebrate my reaching 80. From beginning to end Dave Talbot made it seem normal, easy, fun. Terrific efficency and clear communication throughout. On the day, 54 abseilers aged 14-84 safely landed, had fun and measured a great sense of acheivement. His style, with his great team, took real care of us, made us believe in his skill and the safety of the rope. I cannot praise him and the team enough. Everyone was saying the same all day. Finally, to upload the photos before he reached home was beyond the call of duty. They were exhausted, yet still focussed on our enjoyment and satisfaction.
He has created an AMAZING company.
We have already raised a phenominal amount of money to help rebuild part of Exeter Cathedral £53,000 and it is still counting until the end of May.

Thank you, Dave, for realising my dreams!

As part of the abseil down Exeter cathedral with the other 54 participants i had the privilege of being the very last. It was terrifying but it was so well organised and the three instructors were brilliant, patient, reassuring and very professional. Despite having never done anything like this before and having a complete fear of heights they made me feel safe and I did it! Thank you ?

At the age of 68 I abseiled down the front of Bristol Children's Hospital for Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity,it was my first time and David Talbot's were absolutely wonderful, very helpful and reassuring,the smile on my face was very genuine and it was without doubt all down to them.Thankyou.

The Malvern Hills Trail Half Marathon is epic! I come back this event every year as it’s so well organised, both beforehand and on the day. Dave and his team do a marvellous job of putting on what must be one of the most varied routes and terrains of UK trail events, everything from single track bluebell woods, to the open expanse of the ridge of the hills. If the weather is right, the views are stunning. It’s certainly a tough event, the climbs are steep and seemingly never ending, but it’s all worth it just for the delicious baklava supplied at the end of the race. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this event to a first timer or a seasoned trail runner.

Took part in the Malvern Hills Trail Half Marathon on the 20th April. It was such a great day, well organised with lovely friendly Marshalls and competitors. Even the sun shone all day!!

Malvern Hills Trail Half Marathon is probably my favourite race. Well organised, great race HQ with fantastic cafe, really friendly and relaxed atmosphere and an amazing route running through fields and bluebell filled woods in the first half and stunning views of the three counties along the ridge in the 2nd half.

We had a fantastic day in the Wye Valley learning how to sport climb with Matt. He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient and helpful, and we came away full of confidence and itching to get back on the rock! Thank you Matt and Dave!

Multipitch for Two
I contacted Dave with the crazy idea to organise a climbing day for my partner's birthday. In February. In the UK. Specifically - Bristol.
This was a feat that no one would normally accept, given that weather conditions, rock conditions and the activity being a bit risky (if you're not in the right hands) could end up being a trip to l'Hospital.
However, Dave answered the call, was really responsive and sent us Dan.
Somehow rain managed to avoid the one area we were climbing that day - (Avon Gorge: the main wall and central buttress). Rish and I learned so much from abseiling, placing gear, setting up anchors and being more on it with our communication/ calls. It was great to end the day climbing up placing trad gear and learning the mechanics of multipitch by setting up a 4 pitch climb on the Central Buttress with Dan beside us.
Both Dave and Dan have been really helpful in making sure that my other half had an awesome birthday weekend doing something we both love - climbing outdoors - and re-discovering a new side to the adventure possibilities in trad and multipitch. Thank you so much!

Great run, awesome atmosphere but the signage was just not there. Dave, you need to understand that when people are pushing at 16/17/18 km you cannot have a tiny orange arrow half covered by a bush to guide you along especially when you crossing from the opposite side of the road. There needs to be clear, eye-catching signage for the entire route. I spoke to 8 people after the race and every single one had got lost on the route at some stage. It simply was not good enough. Even the leaders/winners only ran 23km and didn’t even complete the race officially. Other than that, it was great and I will run again next year but you need to step it up with your signage.

Wye Valley Trail Race - Sept 2nd 2023.
Really good communication prior to the race. The route was beautiful, the medals are fabulous and the travel cup is brilliant.

I was one of the slower racers and it was so lovely to have people cheering and klaxons sounding as I approached the finish, and to have my medal placed over my head. There was a wonderful party atmosphere. The support for the final finisher was great too.

Lost one star for minor reasons: I would have loved a burger van or something substantial at the finish, the massage people were packing up at 4hrs, and the finish aid station was a bit bare, except for the wasps having a picnic. But, I would happily do this race again.

Wye Valley Trail Run

I love this event, definitely one of my favourite events and I have done it twice so it must be good! Fabulous venue, beautiful and challenging course along the river Wye, amazing volunteers and great aid stations. I love that it is inclusive for slower runners with a very generous cutoff time as well, so I knew I could enjoy and take lots of photos. Definitely would recommend! Also love the merch and the medal is epic!

The Wye Valley Trail Race 2023 was a fantastic experience. The course was equally beautiful and brutal! There was a really friendly feel to the event, lots of little things that make a difference like bespoke collapsible water cups through to baklava at the finish line. Pre-race information was thorough and the event was well organised. I'd happily sign up to another event with this company.

What a fantastic team! A group of us abseiled from the top of the maternity block at Ipswich Hospital to raise money for the Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals Charity. Dave Talbot's team was top-notch, giving us expert training and a safety briefing before we made our way to the top of the tower. We always felt safe and had such a great time completing the abseil.

Really enjoyed the 55k in brecon beacons. Really well organized volunteers were really lovely at every checkpoint and the end. Had a great time. Route was good and views were really amazing. Would do again.

BB Ultra 2023.

My first ultra event and second event with Dave Talbot Events.

What can I say?
The team are a fantastic bunch, well organised, vast experience and made me feel so welcome throughout.
I’d recommend this team very much and have just signed up for another run with them in September.
I actually sustained an injury on this ultra, nothing too major but enough to retire after 30km.
Yes I was disappointed, the team had nothing but praise and warm feedback, even giving me a consolation medal so when I asked about doing this again, the staff encouraged me to do so.
I can’t say enough how well drilled they all are and how much fondness I have for them all, hoping to see them soon and trust me, do an event like this with them and you will not regret it.

This was my first Ultra run, in fact, my first ever long distance. Up until signing up I had only done 10 mile races. As a newby, Dave and his team were amazing in prepping me for something as massive as the BB Ultra. I did the 10 Peak Challenge as prep during the walk Dave and his team answered all my ultra questions and more. That day was such an eye opener. I don't think I would have made the finish line without the team sharing so much of their expertise. During the BB Ultra itself, my beginners naivity became apparent, as I wobbled into checkpoint 2 with cramp, the crew took such amazing care of me, I was able not only to finish the race, but also to do an amazing time.
It was apparant everyone on the team knew their stuff. They knew how I was was feeling and what I needed, through their own experiences. This made it a very safe space and also very welcoming and warm. It really did feel like we were one big family. Absolutely loved the community spirit of this event! If you are considering a challenge, Dave Talbot and his team are your people!

I took part in the BB Ultra 2023. It was my first Ultra marathon and it was incredible. Very well organised. The staff and volunteers made sure all participants were safe and had a great time. Will be signing up again for sure.

Dave Talbot and his team came and organised a fantatstic sponsored abseil from the top of our church tower. They were really great - professional, helpful and really friendly. They put even the most nervous abseilers at ease. We explored various options for running this event and they were cheapest, helpful from first contact and I can't imagine any of their competitors doing a better job. I couldn't recommend them more highly.

The Toubkal trip with Dave (and a lovely bunch of people) was fabulous and we enjoyed everything about it!

Dave’s an inspiring mountain leader with boundless energy and (seemingly) limitless good humour, great skills and a plan for everything.

Everyone had great fun and it was a totally relaxed and the perfect introduction to high altitude mountaineering (in sunny, spectacular Morocco).

Morocco & the Atlas Mountains; My second event with Dave and yet again he did not fail to put on a fabulous adventure.
Dave has amazing attention to detail - every aspect of the trip had been thought about, ensuring a safe but exceptionally fun, relaxed time for all. Loved the enthusiasm, sharing of tips & skills along the way.
Highly recommended to go on any trip with Dave. Im certainly looking forward to my next one ;-)

On the day nothing was too much trouble, and everything went very smoothly, they had great patience and words of encouragement to all our participants who we have also had great feedback from! Had an amazing time over two days climbing with Dave and Robyn. Both were super knowledgable and the teaching was faultless. Managed to cram in a lot over the 2 days, trad, sport, multi pitch, you name it. Everything was keep upbeat even when the odd bits of weather rolled in. They were able to accommodate last minute changes / drop offs, flag waving / photo gathering as well as expertly guide a large group with multiple capabilities through a very enjoyable / challenging team building event all in the name of charity! A group of three of us had an Intro to Outdoor climbing course with Kevin. It was a simply awesome day! One of the group went from no roped experience at all, to confidently lead climbing and belaying. Kevin was an excellent instructor and an all-round great guy. On the organisation side Robyn was great, with quick responses and getting everything sorted at short notice. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Dave's team (led by Dan) oversaw a great morning of climbing in Bristol (Avon Gorge). We were there as part of a stag do, and the activity, combined with the expert advice made for a fun morning, as well as feeling like we had achieved something. Great value for money too.

Excellent, fun day of trad climbing in the Wye Valley with Dan via Dave Talbot's company. On the admin side, Dave was impressively responsive to all our queries and was also swift on checking in re how everything went. On the climbing side, Dan was great company (so many jaw dropping stories) and managed to pack in a lot into just a day of climbing against the wonderful backdrop of the Wye Valley (a couple of short sport routes; a thorough refresh of trad climbing basics including lowering down, belay set up, gear placement; and just the right level grade for a low level multi-pitch to give us the confidence of being able to do everything ourselves).

We had an absolutely brilliant day hiking across the Brecon Beacons taking in 13 (cheeky extra 3 in there!) peaks as we went. The day went like a well oiled machine thanks to Dave and his team, yet lovely and relaxed at the same time. We had so much fun and spent most of the day laughing. The massive smiles are still on our faces as we thump back down to reality on a Monday morning. This is the second event I've done with Dave and I am looking forward to my next one. I cannot recommend Dave enough, get signed up with him now for whatever outdoor activity you're after!

What an experience we had with Dave leading us in the Atlas Mountains! How he managed to maintain a cool, yet fun, demeanour when coping with the 8 of us is credit to his professionalism and experience! From his preparation and communications with us, through to his ability to be flexible and accommodating, Dave was an ideal leader. Well done Dave and thank you! Thanks again for a fantastic day Saturday. Really enjoyed it although I did underestimate the challenge before starting and overworked my knees with a heavy bag ‘I will remember not to be a hero next time!!’ Dave and John were excellent at boosting everyone’s spirits and getting everyone laughing - my favourite still being a bas***d hill followed by some nice flatey-down ?. I Will definitely be looking out for some more of your events for the future.

I did the Brecon Beacons 10 Peaks Challenge yesterday and like to say a big thank you to Dave and his support team.

Dave and his team made the day so much more enjoyable, they were very organized, caring and so friendly that it made me feel so relaxed in their company knowing that they put our safety first and making sure the participants feel comfortable and no one gets left out!

I would highly recommend Dave’s company if you are looking for a challenge, you will definitely succeed with their encouragement, and you will have a great time!! Also the support vehicle has Loads of treats… not to mention the very yummy chocolate ginger cakes!

Once again thank you for a memorable day, it really was a great day!

Will be looking at you other programmes, probably Snowdonia next? Who knows but definitely looking forward to taking part in your other challenges!!

This is the second challenge I have completed with Dave. It was absolutely incredible . I had such a great time meeting new people and there was lots of laughter. The challenges have been amazing and the trails are well thought out with the most breath taking views. Overall the experiences have been incredible. The team are brilliant, so attentive encouraging , informative. They are welcoming to all and support everyone regardless of your fitness levels. I would 100% recommend .

We had the most amazing time on the Mountains in Morocco. Dave was awesome so professional and looked after us all the way. Not easy with a group of 8 ladies ? he was great fun and made the trip and amazing experience for us all. Highly recommended and we will be back. This company are amazing, I did a charity abseil yesterday to raise money for the local hospitals. When I signed up I knew it would be a real challenge as I am scared of edges, but I wanted to push myself to do something different and raise money. This team are amazing, they could see I was nervous and they really looked out for me.
I said about 4 times, I cannot do it, even stood on the edge, and they encouraged me and told me I could, and I did!!! It was scary but amazing, I could not have done it without Dave stood at the top telling me its okay and I can do it.
They are a totally professional, amazing team, and I would recommend then to anyone that wants to abseil but is a bit unsure about it, you will get the support to help you over come your fears and do it! Brilliant experience, brilliant team! Thank you so much!

Just back from a fantastic trip to the Atlas Mountains (with DT with a day to unwind in Marrakech at the end).

Dave is extremely knowledgable, meticulous, fun and interesting, which made for an outstanding adventure.

I recently completed the 2021 Malvern trail half run by Dave Talbot. What an excellent event. From the off it was evident what a friendly bunch Dave and his team were. Absolutely fantastic, can't fault any of them, all encouraging and enthusiastic.
The course, was fantastic, after 10k it really ramped up as described in the course description ! Certainly not easy but achievable. I am 54, my wife the same age. Far from youngsters but we loved it. I was an hour behind the winner, so need to adjust my training for next year slightly !! There was no time pressure to finish and my wife found that a good thing as she was a bit worried about timings but all finishers were welcomed in with the bells & whistle just the same, first or last. Views from on top of the hills had to be seen to be believed. The effort was certainly worth it and we felt a massive sense of pride once the race was conquered, and got a nice medal & Tshirt as a reminder. We will be back !

I recently did a lead course in the Wye Valley! Definitely recommended! The instructor Matt was fantastic. He made both of us feeling confident with using the gear and by the end of the course I can say I learn a lot of new things and feel safe in leading a route. :)

Wye Valley 15 miles Trail Run - 4th September 2021
Fantastic event! Well organised and sign post route!
I must admit it’s a tough terrain for amateur like myself. Thanks for all your patience as we were the last lot to cross the line. The two tail runners are absolute Star, they’re so patient and helpful all the way!

All in all we had a great day and pleased that we had done it!
I absolutely love love love the medal! My absolute favourite so far! Once again massive thanks to you and your team!

Thanks so much to Dave Talbot and his team for helping Future Youth Zone run our first abseil. Right from the initial enquiry to the event Dave was super hlpful, answered all our questions, and left us feeling very reassured. The team on the day were amazing, they totally looked after all of our fundraisers and staff taking part. Looking forward to running more events with them in the future!

My daughter and I had the most amazing opportunity to abseil off the Welsh landmark, the WMC, guided down by Dave Talbot and his team. They were wonderful, professional, friendly and most of all, so very supportive of me with my fear of heights... I have no idea how they did it but they inspired me to have the confidence to do it and I'm so grateful that they did! Thank you x

Look a outdoor sport climbing course with DTAE. It was great. There was a mix of experience but instructor Dan pitched the course at the right level for everyone. Dan managed the crag availability and timing really well and gave us all some extra experience and threw in some extra coaching for some other new skills. A certainly feel that after this day, my climbing ability leveled up. Felt safe all the time too.

I took part in a charity abseil down Canonteign Falls. It was a great day; lots of fun and well planned and executed by these guys. They were friendly and knowledgeable and made the whole day a great experience! Thank you very much.

Dave and his team led us safely, professionally and with lots of laughs along the 10 Peaks Brecon Beacon Challenge. Our 26 strong team all agree that it was a fantastic challenge and we all felt in safe hands. With Dave's expertise to lead the walk we were able to concentrate on raising lots for our local charity. A big thank you from all of us and we will be in touch to book our next challenge as soon as our legs recover!

We went on a team trip to the New Forest with Dave and had the most brilliant time. Everything ran so smoothly from start to finish. The organised activities were so much fun and all the staff at the camp were super helpful and great.

Definitely recommend to those wanting a fun action packed few days away in nature.

I completed the 10 Peaks Brecon Beacon Challenge last Saturday. It was a tough day but was good fun with the different people in the group and felt assured by the experienced instructors running the challenge. They knew the route well and the day was really well thought out. There were a few stops to break up the 9 hour hike, a support vehicle at different check points to quickly top up water, food or change clothes etc and Dave is really bubbly and gives you lots of encouragement. He even baked cakes for the event. I would definitely recommend this company especially if you fancy getting outdoors on an affordable adventure with likeminded people but with the safety of an experienced guide. You wont be disappointed.

Did the Snowdonia 10 peaks challenge. What an experience! Easily one of the most rewarding things I’ve done in years. Great bunch people running the operations and participating in the group challenge. It was well planned and plenty of good humour and banter keeping everyone going through. Met some really interesting people. The second big incline was a killer but everyone seemed to recover once up there with the views. I’ll defiantly be interested in further challenges. Track support was really good plenty of food set up and great to change clothes and top up supplies. Dave is a top bloke!

Myself and 2 friends did a 4 day course on multi-pitch climbing in Snowdonia which was excellent. We wanted to climb as a party of three and Dave was very helpful in finding a guide that could help us with this logistical challenge. Despite the poor weather we still managed to learn a lot from our instructor Luca. Would highly recommend!!

We had a fabulous day climbing the the Avon Gorge - super easy to arrange, a quick chat a few days before to figure out what we wanted, and then we were on the rock! Ed, our instructor, was lovely, very patient and we both felt in very safe hands despite being MILES up a cliff on our first trad adventure. We’re still smiling now :)

Dave guided a group of us on the Brecon Beacons for the 10 peak challenge.
Dave was very helpful with excellent communication running up to the event. The day itself was great fun and well organised, providing all the support we needed (including photos and cake!) All aspects of the day were well planned for which meant he was able to cope really well with our group of different fitness levels. We had a great day and raised lots of money for our chosen charity! Medals and quickly uploaded photos at the end of the day were the icing on the cake. Thank you!

We had such an amazing day doing the introduction to rock climbing. My partner and I have been bouldering for a few months and found this the perfect course for introducing us to outdoor climbing. The instructors were so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Couldn’t have asked for a better day!

Just finished a "Learn to lead/sport climb outdoors" course with Dave and I've got to say how appreciate I was of Dave for the day.

My brother and I came from an indoor top roping background and were quite worried about our lack of experience in the great outdoors and lead climbing safely. Dave explained in an email that the key is getting the basics and theory correct and getting the mileage in to gain confidence and he was absolutely right! We were both really impressed with how Dave took us from complete novices to confident beginners!

Dave went over and above what we were expecting, from starting with the absolute basics where we wanted to check our existing habits with him and we were better able to correct ourselves and understand why these processes are safe. I think a lot of climbing courses we have done before are instructed at a very basic level and aimed towards children, and Dave's style of instructing was able to meet us at our level and was a great balance of knowledge and experience,

Dave picked a really good day and location for the climbing which made the day that much more enjoyable. During the day we tried lots of different scenarios giving us really good experience, we also had the opportunity to try different belay devices and other equipment and Dave was very helpful in going beyond the basics to slightly more advanced knowledge which will be very useful in the future, and also gives us more confidence that if we can overcome problems on our own and really how we should be thinking in order to have fun and climb safely.

It was a really great day, Dave was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly and was really fun to have around whilst also instilling lots of knowledge in us and gave us a great experience of real outdoor climbing and I must say he managed to encourage us on even when we were quite high up in a desperate situation, which at the time I was thinking "Dave, I am really stuck" but he was really good at instilling the confidence to keep pushing on, which is something I think will stay with us for the rest of our climbing journey. Thanks Dave!

We went on a 2 day learn to lead (trad) course about a month ago. Dave was superb with all the communication before and after the course. We had Jamie as our instructor – he was excellent - super friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. They tailored the course exactly to what we wanted to achieve. Awesome weekend, we learnt *so* much – would highly recommend!

A fantastic day multi-pitch climbing at the Wye Valley, organised by Dave and the team. Our guide Kevin managed to find just the right balance of pace to ensure that we were all comfortable with the new skills being learnt and remained safe at all times, but were also challenged enough to keep the adrenaline pumping. A really enjoyable course and highly recommended.

We had a great day yesterday in the Wye valley, learning to lead with our instructor Alec. With absolutely no prior experience, we were confidently and independently leading climbs by the end of the day. Professional, reassuring, and focused on safety and teaching, I couldn't have asked more of Alec.

Me and 3 of my friends have done Snakes and Ladders in Llanbeis this Saturday. Without Dave it would not have been possible. The guide was amazing! The whole day went perfectly, could not ask for more. Plenty of adventure, amazing scenery and a healthy dose of adrenalin ?

It was hot and at times we (not Dan) got a bit bothered, but we had a super day on Saturday. Dan was calm, knowledgeable and very reassuring on the rock. Both our boys (aged 9 and 11) really liked him, gained varied experience and now have their first belays under their belts. As soon as we got home and unpacked the car they were both glued to the 'Climbing Blind' documentary and have downloaded 'The Dawn Wall' on Dan's recommendation. Safe to say we will be back in touch in the future....

From the get go, Dave was quick to communicate and got me in touch with Simon my instructor. The course itself was brilliant, informative, tailored and has given me the confidence to research an develop my skills further.

If you want to learn how to climb i couldn't recommend Dave's services and Simon's instruction enough!

Had a really good day yesterday with an into to trad climbing course. The instructor Kevin was able to tailor the day to our needs, helping us work with the kit we had and advising us on improving for the future. I felt the course was very well run, safe and personal as well as being informative. Dave was really responsive and easy to communicate with and I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for something similar.

Had an excellent experience on a two day Trad Lead course. Dave was very responsive and helpful with everything beforehand (and afterwards), and our instructor, Danny, tailored every aspect of the course to be precisely what we were looking for. Could not fault the local knowledge, gear provided, relaxed approach, wider subject knowledge, company, or, really, any other aspect.
My husband and I were supported to achieve more than we'd expected, whilst feeling safe at every turn. Definitely finished the second day happy to go out and tackle simple trad routes independently now, which was exactly what we'd set out to learn.
Happy to recommend, and would (probably will!) use again. :)

Had such an amazing day out going through a multipitch course with Dave ahead of a trip to the dolomites.

Dave is an excellent teacher, gives clear advice and great tips. He made the day fun, crafted a plan that worked on what we needed most and followed up with some great links and further info for us to read through.

Couldn't recommend him highly enough!

Dave took me for a day out at Wintours Leap by way of a reintroduction to rock climbing after a long break. We climbed three multipitch routes, brushed up on abseiling, gear placement and setting up stances. Great experience. Dave is absolutely solid, helpful and good company. I would certainly recommend him on the basis of the day I spent with him.

We did a 1 day lead climb course in the Wye Valley with local instructor Jamie, we went to a couple of different crags trying trad & sport climbing. The climbs were perfectly suited to our abilities and what we hoped to achieve from the day, with some fantastic views and even managing to avoid the expected downpours! We're already making plans to go back and do more climbing!

I did a 1-day trad course with Dave Talbot, instructed by MI Danny. Danny made the day completely based around our experience and what we aimed to get from the day, which was perfect. We were lucky with perfect weather and quiet walls, and Danny taught us a lot about the techniques and also little personal tricks for things like gear arrangement. I'd definitely book with them again and would recommend them to anyone looking for something like this.

I went on a group trip to Slovenia where Dave was one of the two mountain guides we had for the few days over which we planned to summit Mt Triglav in the Julian Alps. Although mother nature was very much against us in the form of torrential rain, thunderstorms and lightening - Dave had several options as a backup plan which he posed back to the group to decide. We managed to scale some waterfalls via ferrata, take a trip to Lake Bohinj, and then ascended partway up Triglav before admitting a soggy defeat some hours later. We all had a ton of fun, and really appreciated our guides being able to think on their feet and still give us 3 days of mountain madness :D

We went on an Introduction to lead climbing course in Bristol with a local instructor Danny. The course felt perfectly tailored to our requirements. The content was at the right level, exactly what we needed to know, and we felt safe and confident at every step. Danny was a very knowledgeable guide as well as fun and easy to get along with.

The service was very reasonably priced and I would happily come here for future learning!

Dave and Robyn guided a group of us to four 4000+m peaks in the Atlas Mountains, including Toubkal - the highest in North Africa. They were always full of energy and continually kept the team motivated. You were never in doubt that they were fully prepared for all eventualities, using ropes when required and even having a foam roller for those of us with tight muscles!

On top of this, they were always teaching us important mountain skills, with demonstrations and giving everyone the chance to practice these skills in a safe and fun but relevant environment. I also thought they were excellent at tailoring the experience to different peoples wants and needs. A personal example: i was keen to learn more about ice-climbing. Dave had clearly noted this and took the time to discuss extra ice-axe techniques with me, even hanging out by a frozen waterfall at the end of a long day to teach me a few skills in-depth!

Without a doubt my favourite adventure holiday of the year - i'm already looking to book another one with Dave in the New year!

Highly recommended.

Dave and his team hosted Noah's Ark Charity Dangle event Sunday 16th October 2016 from Newport Transporter Bridge and we couldn't have picked a better team of instructors to help us.
From the outset Dave was very helpful with the administrative side of the event and on the day he was very proactive and very friendly, calming anyone who was nervous.
I would recommend Dave and his team to anyone who was thinking of running a Challenge event and Noah's Ark Charity look forward to booking the event next year. Dave keep the good work up and the excellent standards you have.

Dave and his team hosted a charity abseil for us in London a couple of weeks ago and we couldn't have picked a better person to help us.
From the outset he was proactive, friendly and incredibly helpful, not only finding us a venue but roping in (no pun intended) some extra participants on the day too.
Having sworn I would never abseil, I found myself feeling so relaxed and safe with the guys that not only did I complete the 130ft challenge, I did it three times... thank heaven for the photos they took to prove it!
If you're looking for someone to help you with an adventure look no further. From start to finish the process was fun, easy and cost-effective - I have no hesitation in recommending them and look forward to finding some more activities we can get involved in.
