This weekend just gone i was running the Canonteign Falls Abseil for Childrens Hospice South West. The event was a huge success with the both days running and making over £10,000 for charity and that figure is still raising as money comes in.

Partnering up to help raise money for charity

Canonteign Falls  is on the edge of Devon and boasts England’s highest waterfall at 220 ft high. In order to run an abseil event like this you need a lot of kit, great instructors and lots of experience, all of which my team delivered perfectly.

Canonteign Falls Charity Abseil

The Saturday was sold out and we had 48 people going down the abseil and on Sunday we had around 25. The participants arrived around an 1 hour before their time slot and got changed into a wet suit and harnessed up. They then were given 45 minutes of abseil coaching and what to do and how to do it. They then were taken to the top of the abseil were i sent them off with a lot of fun, thanks to being able to dam the flow with a large bucket and releasing it sending a tidal wave over the abseilier. Check out some of our photos from the event and get in touch for your abseil event.
