Today i snatched a couple of hours away from the computer to get out rock climbing in Avon Gorge with Andy Torbet – http://andytorbet.com/ I wanted to do a route that I’ve not done for years – ‘Pink Wall Traverse. I thought it would be a perfect route for a guided rock climbing day out which i run. The route is very unusual for the area, saying that…..its unusual for most areas. It involves some down climbing and therefore back roping, it has 3 large metal stakes that come out of the cliff that one must swarm up very much like a via ferrata – sort of and also a hand crack that traverses a rather flat wall. Either way, it is a great HVS and made for a fun few hours.
