Just landed back in the UK after a weeks bouldering in the wonderful location of Fontainbleau, France. My first tip is the campsite that we stayed at – don’t stay anywhere else. Campsite du lido, link below, has everything man, child, wife, dog, climber could ask for. From swimming pool to crazy golf, bar to bakery, what a great setup.

Our days started with a swim, game of table tennis and then moved into the super zone with 6 hours of bouldering each day – awesome.
We met many good people out on the crags and got to climb every day with the weather gobs being kind. We had one evening of rain but i had brought a tarp sheet that was 6m by 6m so that kind of covered our whole camping pitch and allowed cards to be played into the evening without much fuss. I had not been to L Elephant before and this place impressed me with its nice beach, trees and great boulders. Here’s a couple of nice shots from the week.
