I was out rock climbing in Avon Gorge yesterday on the Suspension Bridge Buttress with a kayaking mate of mine and few friends. My kayaking mate – Gavin, was a little nervous by the steep rock and his lack of climbing recently. For a man of his calbare this is strange considering when you put him in front of a waterfall he goes off it like a man possessed. Either way he gained hero points by following a few steep routes and getting them free. Well done Gavin.
I then took to my jumar’s and started climbing my ropes to take some photos of Nik leading “Earl of Perth” E1 5b. A superb route and goes really nicely as 1 pitch linking all 3 pitchs in one monster pitch. Classic.
